The LSD Underwater Mile for Sport Relief is back!

Back in 2010, in support of Sport Relief, London School of Diving (LSD) organised what we think was a pretty unique mile - underwater, using scuba gear...on a mountain bike!!!

LSD pulled together various pieces of technology to develop what we believe was the world's first 'Underwater Turbo-Training Cycle' which was specially designed for operation in our diving pool!

Participants in the LSD Mile raised a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for Sport Relief and then were able to reserve a slot as an individual or group to complete the challenge!

During the challenge they were timed completing their measured mile by one of LSD’s experienced safety divers who were closely monitoring all aspects of the challenge including a comprehensive safety briefing prior to entering the water.

Well now it’s back!!!

This year, the LSD mile is being run in conjunction with Ryman, Boux Avenue and Robert Dyas incorporating the ‘Ryman Nuns’ who have completed some great stunts in the past. We are also hoping for a few celebrities to pass through during the event!

We are now recruiting volunteers to be part of our safety and organisation team.

The LSD Mile will run from 8th to 9th March 2014. If you would like to be a part of this unique event, please reply to with your diving experience and availability over that weekend.
